"Catching the Wind" - scissor-tailed flycatchers

from $55.00

Archival giclee signed and numbered limited edition (500) from a gouache and pencil original.

A new one this year! These are scissor-tailed flycatchers - a lovely bird with a really remarkable tail. Their range is in the southern Great Plains - Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas but we see them here in NW Arkansas. They are often perched on utility lines but are a delight to see in flight. During courtship, the male rises and then dives sometimes performing backward somersaults! That is sure to impress a girl!

Above all, we want you to be happy with your new art work and will refund your purchase if it isn’t what you expected.  We strive to display the images on the website as accurately as possible. Due to the inconsistencies of display monitors the color you see on your screen may be just a little different from the actual colors of the print or original.  This variance can’t be avoided but will be slight. The prints don’t shift in color.  It’s the computer monitors that deliver the images differently.
