"Waterside Portraits" - great blue heron and edibles

from $55.00

Blue and orange have always been my favorite color combination and a great blue heron gives me that opportunity coupled with the heron’s graceful flowing lines. He is my favorite bird to paint! This piece is a kind of inventory of the creatures that form my heron’s world. The soft sun behind the heron’s head give the piece another opportunity for blue and orange to interact. They are opposites on the color wheel and therefore carry a lot of impact.

Archival giclee signed and numbered limited edition (500) from a gouache and pencil original.
